Nanodegree Program, Front-End Web Developer

As one of 2,000 recipients out of 20,000 eligible applicants, I received a full scholarship from Google for Udacity’s (extended) Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree.

The program covered the following subjects:

  • HTML and CSS

  • Mobile-first, responsive web design & layout optimization

  • JavaScript (ES6)

  • Version Control with Git/Bash/GitHub

  • Workflow, Build tools (e.g. Gulp), and efficient code

  • Accessibility concerns

  • Test-driven development (Jasmine)

  • Handle AJAX requests (Callbacks VS Promises)

  • Utilizing (Web & 3rd party) APIs (XHR, fetch, Google Maps, etc.)

  • Register a Service Worker

  • Introduction to Angular (& Ember)

  • Developing with React.js

The course entailed the development of several different projects with growing complexity. The Neighborhood Map was the most challenging, which I build from scratch using React.js.

Nanodegree Program, Digital Marketing

June 2017 - September 2017

I received an in-depth overview of the digital marketing landscape, and a holistic understanding of how all the different channels work together.

I applied my knowledge in multiple projects by leveraging several major platforms, such as Facebook (Social Media Advertising), Google AdWords (Search Engine Marketing, Display, and Video Advertising), MailChimp (Email Marketing), MOZ (Search Engine Optimization), and Google Analytics (Website Optimization).
